Welcome, Huy!

I am Nguyễn Gia Huy, an incoming PhD student at the University of Bergen. I was born and grew up in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, where I completed my undergraduate study at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Later on, I did my higher study by taking the Erasmus Joint Master Advanced Spectroscopy in Chemistry, in which I graduated from the University of Helsinki. My past work focuses on the field of Coordination and Organometallics Chemistry, and I did my master thesis in CO2 conversion and Polymer Chemistry. It was during a small conference in Helsinki that I got to know professor Erwan le Roux, my current supervisor, and the call for this PhD position. The project that I will be working on is homogeneous catalysts for production of ammonia. Therefore, I am excited to start my study here in Bergen to put together what I am experienced in, as well as learning new aspects of the field.
