Welcome, Mercy!
Hello everyone! I am Mercy Ogochukwu Chioma. Please, feel free to call me Mercy. I am a Nigerian. I recently completed a joint Erasmus+ fully funded International Master in Biorefinery from the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy, Cracow University of Technology, Poland, and the University of Troyes, France. As a growing biorefinery enthusiast, I am thrilled to join the Sustainable energy carriers, chemicals, and materials research group at the Department of Chemistry, UiB as a PhD student under the supervision of Associate Professor Camilla Løhre. My research will dive into the fascinating world of biomass valorization (biorefinery). Specifically, I will focus on «developing reaction pathways from carbohydrate – rich biomass towards furanic platform chemicals».
