Welcome Christian!
Christian Gjermestad was recently employed as a PhD student in
computational catalysis under the supervision of Vidar Jensen. He has a
background in physical chemistry from the University of Oslo where he investigated hydride transfers to CO2 in the presence of Mg(II) using mass spectrometry and quantum chemical calculations. His current project revolves around the design of catalysts for deoxygenation of the bio-oil resulting from the Bergen lignin-to-liquid process.
